How to be enchanted by God

Enchanted: Experiencing God’s Divine Love and Presence

Many Christians silently wonder about God’s divine love; Does God actually love me? or How can I feel God’s presence in my life?
This blog invites you into these answers: God is not merely watching you – He is enchanted by you.
And He longs for you to be mesmerised by Him in return.

To be enchanted is to be caught in wonder, not by force or spectacle, but by beauty. Someone captivating. A presence quietly claiming your imagination and emotions.

You’re not coerced. You’re captured.
You’re not distracted. You’re fascinated.

We speak of enchantment in fairy tales and love songs, expecting it in candlelit moments and mountaintop sunsets. But rarely do we think of God as the One doing the enchanting.
Rarer still do we believe we enchant Him.

Yes, you, with all your doubts, distractions, wonder, and weariness, the Father sees it all and still draws closer.
You captivate God.
He doesn’t study you like a project.
He delights in you, not from a distance, but intimately, emotionally, and joyfully.

“The Lord your God is with you…
He will take great delight in you;
He will quiet you with His love;
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17

He isn’t tolerating your existence.
He is rejoicing over it.

Spiritual awakening doesn’t often come in thunderclaps. More often, it flickers, soft and small. It begins when beauty stops being background noise and starts shimmering. When you feel God’s presence in a melody, a sunset, or unexpected stillness.

It’s not extravagance. It’s gentleness.
Not demand, but invitation.
Noticing Him is where the enchantment begins.

Take Moses. He didn’t encounter God the moment the bush caught fire – it was burning.
The moment everything changed was when Moses turned aside to see what was capturing his attention.

“I will go over and see this strange sight…” Exodus 3:3

The miracle wasn’t in the fire. It was in the turning.

You live in a world full of burning bushes – moments glowing with divine presence.
But spiritual intimacy with God begins when you pause, turn, and look again.

Becoming enchanted is risky.
It means letting yourself be undone, trading control for closeness.
It’s easier to scroll through social media, to be distracted, to over-schedule your commitments.
But God isn’t hiding in noise. He’s waiting in plain sight, whispering to a heart soft enough to hear Him.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8

Purity isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence.
A heart undivided, turned fully toward Him.

You don’t have to force spiritual feelings or fake reverence.
Just still your mind.
Let the imagination of God’s nearness become an invitation to draw closer.

And when it feels like nothing is happening, something shifts.
A glimmer. A whisper. A stirring.

Your soul recognizes Him:
My Lord. My Lover. My Friend.

Living enchanted doesn’t mean escaping reality – it means awakening to it.
It’s walking through the ordinary world wide-eyed, fully loved, and spiritually alert to God’s presence.

It’s how sunlight hits the kitchen sink.
The way silence cradles your thoughts.
The way unexpected kindness seems heaven-sent.

“In Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28

To live spiritually awake is to carry divine awareness into daily life.
Loving longer. Forgiving deeper. Listening better.

You stop waiting for a sign to make life sacred because you realize God is already here, dazzling in the details.

Sometimes enchantment feels fragile. The world numbs you. Doubt creeps in. You wonder if you’re just imagining all this.

But the voice of Wonder says otherwise.

This beauty. This pull. This presence. It’s real.
It’s Jesus. And He is capturing you.

You won’t always feel intense joy, ecstasy or delight, but you can remain captivated, fascinated, spellbound.

Because enchantment rooted in truth becomes devotion. Not performance. Not striving.
Just a daily, quiet turning of your gaze toward Him.

“Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” Psalm 34:5

You were made to be enchanted.
Not to impress God, but to truly see Him.
To be raptured. Smitten. Undone.

Not just in sacred spaces, but here.
Now. In this very moment.

Live as one who is gazed upon, and gaze back.

Because when you live enchanted, everything starts to sing.

With wonder
