Enigma’s
Have you ever considered yourself to be an enigma? Maybe, maybe not, either way you are an enigma! 😊
An enigma is something or SOMEONE that is hard to understand or explain. Simply they are inscrutable and mysterious. As a new creation in Christ Jesus believers are enigmas. How do you explain something that is not perceived by your senses nor understood through reason and logic?
This is why the Lord tells us not to judge one another by what we see or perceive concerning then from what we observe about them through our senses. We cannot see what is going on in someone’s heart, but God does. Neither can they see or perceive what is going on in your heart. What the Holy Spirit is doing on the inside of you is an enigma to the rest of us.
In the same way, Jesus is an enigma. He cannot be seen or perceived through the physical senses or through observing the natural world around us. He is just not visible there. You can only see and interact with the Lord in your heart, that deep, intimate, personal space that God created on the inside of you – called eternity.
This enigma that is going on inside every believer is that of the Lord building His kingdom within you. Every one of us are called to be kings and priests unto our God. Just like no two nations are the same, no two believers are the same either. What the Holy Spirit is building in me is not the same as what He is building in you. Simply put, God is the most creative Being in and outside of the universe and your kingdom (life) over which you rule is not the same as mine. Neither is the way you fellowship and commune with Him going to be the same as mine. He will show you things about yourself and His plans concerning you that are not the same as His plans concerning me.
You are an enigma. An eternal enigma! We will spend all eternity busy with our kingdoms and our priesthood within them. I think this is why we will all have our own home in heaven. I don’t think it is for coffee and brownies (which I think we will have anyway) but to visit and see all the unique and fascinating things that God is doing with us. I will come visit you to see the wonder of your kingdom and you can visit me and see the wonder in mine. 😊
Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine – these are the many things God has in store for all His lovers.
But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, He has revealed to us His inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit who constantly explores all things.
After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit. So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by His Spirit, the Spirit of God.
