Ephesus 1
As we enter the second chapter of Revelation, remember the first – the revelation of Jesus Christ!
In every letter that Jesus writes to His churches, the first thing He does is reveal something about Himself to them. Notice that the Churches belong to Jesus and not to John. John may have been the apostle over them, but they did not belong to him. Never let anyone take up a position between you and the Lord. Anyone that claims they have this kind of right over you is a false prophet, pastor, teacher, brother, sister, etc.
You belong to Jesus Christ and to Him alone. You walk with Him, you talk to Him, and you follow Him. You work out your own salvation as you walk in this world with the Father, with Jesus, and with the Holy Spirit. They give permission to others to help you along your way and to bring you into higher revelations of His glory, which is His righteousness, but not to have dominion over you.
In your walk with Him He will reveal His righteousness to you. In turn He will reveal your righteousness in Him and the glory that you are to Him. Through righteousness He will train you to overcome your enemies – sin and death – and to walk in the heavenly realms. Building a firm foundation in your life on the doctrines of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 6) and overcoming sin takes time. You will not grow up overnight, but as you yield yourself in faith to His righteousness, He can work a quick work in you.
The Lord revealed a beautiful mystery to me about His name from the first three chapters. Jesus came to reveal the Father; the Father reveals the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit in turn reveals Jesus. This is the unity of the Trinity, but I saw them revealed as follows:
The Father is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End; He who is, who was and who is to come – The Almighty.
The Holy Spirit is the One who holds the seven spirits before the throne, the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven lampstands. (He lives in us)
Jesus Christ is the Living One. He died and came back to life and is the firstborn from the dead. He is God’s faithful and true witness. He rules over the kings of the earth (you and me) and over all God’s creation.
God will never leave you and has freed you from your sins through His blood. He has made you to be a king (kingdom) and a priest to serve His God and Father.
Their name is YHWH, Yahweh Elohim. Yeshua Ha Mashiach. Jesus Christ. The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus Christ in bodily form and when you see Jesus, you see the Father and the Spirit. Together they are the Lord God, three in one, revealed in Jesus Christ.
May your union with them grow from glory to glory and faith to faith. May the revelation of YHWH increase and multiply as you come to know Jesus in His full manifest glory as the firstborn Son of the Father’s new creation. May you grow up in all things into your own full manifestation of a son or daughter of the Almighty.
God bless!
