It’s TODAY!

Sometimes we get so stressed out about what will happen tomorrow, or depressed about what happened yesterday, and the two come in and totally mess up today. The good news is that in God’s calendar there is only one day, and it is TODAY!

Every new day comes with fresh mercy and grace from God. Yesterday is behind you and tomorrow will take care of itself. All that matters is today and how you will live this day, with and for, the Lord.

It is not always easy to get the mind to shut up long enough to focus but it is possible. All it requires is a little “quiet time”. Quiet time is simply taking time to look at and listen to what is going on inside you. There may be all kinds of noise and voices but focus on finding the goodness and the mercy of God. Once you get quiet you will hear His voice and even see His face.

Don’t look for instruction, just look for and listen for His love for you. The more aware you are of His love and Him telling you how much He loves you the more alert you will be to His instructions which are never heavy, depressing, difficult or burdensome. He will lift you up, hold you close and lead you in the way you should go.

In God’s calendar there is only one day, and it is called TODAY. He is not concerned about yesterday, nor about tomorrow, He is concerned about you right here, right now. Every moment of every day He is with you, watching over you and protecting you. He will do so right up until you enter His heavenly kingdom where you will be safe in His presence forever.

Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. Trust in His unfailing and unending love for you. You are His and He will take care of you. He is going to speak to you today, He is going to show you something new and He is going to lead you.

Scripture reference: Hebrews 4:7; Exodus 15:13; Psalm 147:11

Have a great “TODAY!” 😊
