In your relationship with the Lord one of the primary and most important things for you to know is His name – who is He. It is also the primary revelation that Jesus gives to each of the churches. Before revealing anything else, He reveals who He is and to the church in Philadelphia, who are facing the liars that come from the synagogue of Satan (the Accuser) He reveals Himself as the One who has the key of David, and doors He opens no one can shut and what He closes no one can open. Knowing who He is keeps you from the lies of the Accuser.

In overcoming the lies and deceptions that come from Satan, who is the father of lies, you need to know Jesus as the WORD. The doors He opens and shuts are under His control and no one else can override His decisions. His Word is final. He is setting an example for you in that you, as His child, have the same power and authority and that whatever you open and shut in heaven or on earth is sovereign. You are the only one with the power to change your world.

Your mouth is your key which unlocks heaven and earth!

Jesus’ Word is His key, and when you put His Words in your mouth His key will begin opening and closing things that are contrary to His will.

Everything in heaven and earth and under the earth is governed and held together by WORDS! God’s Word stands in heaven. Your word stands on earth. Together you rule and reign. Nothing happens on earth without your verbal cooperation.

Jesus reveals Himself to you through WORDS. Yes, He can appear physically or in a vision, but for the most part He is the VOICE of the Lord who walks with you in the garden of your own imagination. You see and experience the kingdom of heaven, the garden of God, within your imagination. Your imagination is a place it is neither good nor evil. What makes it good or evil is determined by what words you choose to give habitation to.

Union with the Lord is union between your thoughts and His thoughts, your words and His words, your way and His way. Prayer, fellowship, communion, etc., are all forms of communication – words – that cause you to grow up in your knowledge (words) of Him.

Pay attention to me, come to me; and listen, so that you may live; then I’ll make an everlasting covenant with you … “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous person his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, So he’ll have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will pardon abundantly.  For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.  “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.  “For just as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, yielding seed for the sower and bread for eating,  so will My message be that goes out of My mouth—it won’t return to Me empty. Instead, it will accomplish what I desire, and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.  (Is 55:3, 6-11)

“I call heaven and earth to testify against you today! I’ve set life and death before you today: both blessings and curses. Choose life, that it may be well with you—you and your children. (Deut 30:19)

The power of the tongue is life and death—those who love to talk will eat what it produces. (Prov 18:21)

Please take some time to think about how you think and what words are coming out of your inner world. Are you conscious of the words that move, and live, and have their being within you? These are the words and thoughts that form your world around you.

Your words are the things that you will give God an accounting for. God does not, and will never again, judge you for sin. Jesus forgave you for all your sin once and for all.

However, there is a judgment … it is a judgment of your words.

To be continued …
