The Storms of Life!
I’m sure you’ve noticed that I haven’t written a blog in over a week now. However, not a day has gone by without you being in my heart and mind and I hope you have continued to enjoy your beautiful faith journey with Jesus.
As for me, I have been enduring a storm in an area of our business for about three months now, but its intensity grew to a major hurricane over the last week or so. Hence no blog. My mind, my time, my emotions, my resources. Everything intensified with wild fury. But, like every hurricane, it blows itself out and even though you have to deal with the aftermath you are alive and life is still beautiful.
As I lay in bed last night, pondering the events of the last week, I began giving the Lord praise for the beautiful things that have emerged from the whole ordeal. The business is intact, and I have a wonderful new group of people, now called family, with me. I am so thankful to the Lord for the wonder of His ways. Life can be hard and decisions tough, but when you choose to do what is right in the Lord’s eyes, His eye is also upon you. I fell asleep with a smile on my face and gratitude in my heart.
I awoke to an audio book, (Keys to Heaven’s Economy by Shaun Bolz), that Dave had purchased and had played through the night. He likened something new forming in your life to being pregnant and giving birth. Before the birth there is frustration as all you want is for this baby to come forth. Then there is the pain of delivery – seriously intense time – and then, suddenly, you behold that which was forming within you in all its beauty. What can you do but cry with wonder and awe.
You may be facing a crisis in your own life right now, and I want to encourage you. Don’t consider your heartache, your pain, or your challenges as disastrous, or destructive, or hopeless. God promised that He would not allow you to endure more than you are capable of handling. How you face your challenge within your own heart and soul will determine your outcome. Look within you and calm your storm. It will be alright, and you will come through. Where you have suffered loss something new will arise. Where you have had pain, healing will come.
In all you go through, remember, the Lord will never leave your side and His unending love and tender mercy will be your comfort. He will bring you safely into His heavenly kingdom.
1 Corinthians 10:13 We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. (TPT)
Have a blessed and fruitful day! 😊
