Too Bad!

Have you ever heard the saying, “Tough times never last but tough people do,” or “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”? Ever felt like your just not tough enough and would just like to quit? Don’t you just get irritated by people who seem to have it together all the time?

The truth is those statements are true, whether we like them or not. Tough times come to all of us and God is looking to develop tough people. Persecution, tests, and trials, are tough times and while the desire to run away exists, the Lord’s desire is for us to develop as a people able to stand up and be tough in the face of tough times.

Jesus has great plans and intentions about you.

When He looks at you He is not stressing out because of your tough time. He sees your eternal future, where you will need to be able to make decisions, judgments and plans concerning the “great eternal things that are to come, which we are not yet aware of.”

Life on this planet is nothing more than your schooling for the upcoming events.

Think about it. One of the events will be that of judging angels! If you cannot be tough and learn to judge the tough times in your life with and through the Word of God, how will you face an angel and judge it?

Please understand, you are far more than you have ever imagined. You are a magnificently, wonderfully created being who looks, feels, and smells like your heavenly Father. You are feared, revered, and reverenced in this world and the world which is to come. You are in training. You are not alone, you are being schooled by the Holy Spirit Himself. You are destined for His eternal rewards and greatness, so do not fret about your tough times, but rather rejoice because you are being trained for greatness.

So, take a deep breath, straighten up, pick up your shield and your sword, face your “tough time” and tell it, “Too bad, I am going to beat you!” 😊 Surely you will defeat your opponents. They are there to train you so do not be afraid but face them with boldness and courage because they are there to help you become the mature son or daughter of the Most High God.

Be tough! 😊
