With All Your Heart

Have you ever tried to love the Lord with all your heart and all your soul and all your might? Have you succeeded? I doubt it!

This is a command that is beyond our natural ability to obey. The reason why we fail at this command so often is because we are not CONSCIOUS of the love that our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have for us.

Coming to grips with this, the highest and only command that Jesus gave to you, is to first be FULLY CONSCIOUS of the truth that God loves you more than you currently hope for or imagine.

He continually sees you through the eyes of His grace and the sacrifice of His Son for your faults, failures, sins, etc.

For as long as you live in this body there will be plenty of faults and failures. You will never completely love others the way that God loves you. So don’t lose heart along the way. When you miss it turn your face and your thoughts towards your Father’s love for you. God has provided the blood of Jesus to forgive you and cleanse you completely from every sin you commit.

We have just come through celebrating Passover, which is all about remembering the great sacrifice that God made when He offered up the body of Jesus for the purification of your sin. Every sin, fault and failure you will ever commit has received its just and fair punishment. Except, you do not need to pay for that sin, Jesus already has. He took His blood into the heavenly temple and placed it on the mercy seat where He paid for your purification from sin. God is just, and He will never judge you, that is punish and condemn you, for any sin that you commit because Jesus has already made provision for it.

You also need to be CONSCIOUSLY AWARE that His love for you is unconditional and not based on your performance in this world.

You are now His perfect and most precious treasure. Before you can see others as God’s treasure, and love them accordingly, you need to be able to see yourself as His most treasured possession.

When you were born again you were filled with the Holy Spirit who is THE SPIRIT OF LOVE HIMSELF.

As you begin to accept the truth concerning God’s unconditional love for you it will lead you into conscious experiences of His love. The more you experience His love for you the greater your capacity to love others, even your enemies, increases in your life.

Fulfilling the royal law of love is only possible through being united with Him in His love.

Jude 1:21 Fasten your hearts to the love of God and receive the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gives us eternal life.

Titus 3:4-7 When the extraordinary compassion of God our Saviour and His overpowering love suddenly appeared in person, as the brightness of a dawning day, He came to save us. Not because of any virtuous deeds that we have done, but only because of His extravagant mercy.  He saved us, resurrecting us through the washing of rebirth. We are made completely new by the Holy Spirit, whom He splashed over us richly by Jesus, our Messiah, our Life Giver. So as a gift of His love, and since we are faultless, innocent before His face, we can now become heirs of all things, all because of an overpowering hope of eternal life.

All day today give the Lord thanks for His love for you. Thank Him for Calvary, His blood that He shed for your forgiveness and His body that was broken for you to present you holy, faultless and totally blameless before the Father. Take communion if you want to but most importantly take communion through your thanksgiving. Focus on eternal life – heaven – which is your destination. Constantly thank Him for loving you.
