Without Fault
Today I want to remind you of a wonderful and powerful truth that is yours in Christ Jesus. I hope that this will inspire and encourage you as you walk through this world and learn to deal with all the things it throws at you, both good and bad.
In this time of trouble that I have just come through the Lord introduced me to a much higher place in Him which I believe He is wanting to take us all to. Besides being challenged by circumstances and adverse situations, the Lord presented a position in Him that really is far above all things earthly.
Jude 1:24-25 (NIV)
To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Saviour, be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
When trouble comes the first attack you face inwardly is your own criticism, judgment, and condemnation. We get focused on our problems and then wonder what “sin” we committed or what we did wrong that caused us to be in this mess. We forget the fact that Jesus taught that we would face tests and trials because of our faith not because of our sin (even though there are sins that can land you in hot water, I’m not talking about those). This began to happen to me and the more I focused on my faults the more depressed and condemned I began to feel. That’s when the Holy Spirit stepped in.
The first thing the Holy Spirit does when He comes to council and comfort you is to remind you of who you are and not what you did or did not do. Jesus dealt with your sin on the cross and the Father remembers them no more. They remember the cross and Jesus’ victory over sin and death. The result of the cross is righteousness and justice, not sin and condemnation. As I quieted my heart before Him, He turned my face back towards the Father and that before Him I stand faultless and without blame.
Now, that is a challenging problem to thoughts that want to hold you captive it your outer circumstances instead of your inward, eternal position in Christ. God – the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit – present you before themselves as holy and without fault and take great joy in you. They are just so happy to see you and They just love what they have created – a child that is made from their very substance, born of God, holy and righteous.
As I began to accept what they call truth concerning me the joy of being in their presence began flooding my soul. Guilt ran away, condemnation disappeared, and the accuser stormed out. In the midst of this I saw the accuser of the brethren and how he operates against the saints – the most holy sons and daughters of God. It was quite a surreal experience seeing these three demonic powers at work in my own heart and mind and that the only weapons they had were words of accusation.
Then the Holy Spirit turned my attention to Dave and presented me with the greatest challenge He has yet put before me. 😊 He took the same Scripture above and presented Dave before Him without fault and with great joy. I found much fault and had plenty of accusation against Dave in my heart. It was one thing for me to see myself before Him without fault and blameless but quite another to see Dave that way. Softly the Holy Spirit said that when I can present Dave, before me without fault and with great joy I would have stepped into the highest realm of the kingdom, the realm of the Father where there is no accusation but great love and acceptance for all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
No matter what you are facing today or may face tomorrow, please remember that your God takes great joy in you and takes no thought of your faults and failures. In His kingdom, in His Son, you are holy and greatly loved.
(PS, relationship with Dave restored 💓)
In the wonder of love …
Hello Yvonne,
Thanks for the inspiring words that build me every day.I’ve been retrenched from work and I put my faith and trust to God that one day my dreams will materialize.
The scripture that encourages me more not to feel fear and doubt is Jeremiah 29:11
Profound truth! Thank you for breaking open the cloud of condemnation I was walking under. The enemy is such a liar. 🙌🙌🙌
I have been struggling with my relationship with my mother and this has helped me see the accusor at work in it.
Oh wow! This is wonderful. I pray that the revelation you have received from the Father in regard to the accuser grow brighter and brighter till there is no room left for him in your heart and that you whole being will become totally overwhelmed by the power of His love and grace. Keep up the good fight! You are doing great!
