Be Happy – Don’t Worry!

While having coffee with Dave he shared an experience he had while out walking with the Lord. He thought about this, “Don’t worry, be happy,” when the Lord interjected and said, “Be happy then you won’t worry!”

Isn’t it sad how we so often hear statements that sound so good (I have even used it as a blog) and so wise, yet they are actually deceptive. The truth, which is always in Jesus and in His way, is that the secret to success or victory is through being happy first. To the natural mind this makes no sense but to the mind controlled by the Spirit it makes perfect sense.

Jesus said to rejoice always, in every trial and circumstance. He said to treat every test and trial with joyfulness. Why? Because laughter scatters, confuses and destroys your enemy! Look at the following scriptures:

Philippians 4:4-7 (TPT)

Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! Let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near. Don’t be pulled in different directions or worry about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell Him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.

James 1:2-4 (TPT)

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience all the joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up a power within you to endure all things. And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

Look at how God deals with problems that arise against Him. YES! HE HAS ENEMIES AND ADVERSE CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARISE AGAINST HIM TOO! He is a good example to follow! 😊

Psalm 2: 1-4 (TPT)

How dare the nations plan a rebellion, ranting and raving against the Lord Most High? Their foolish plots are futile! Look at how the power brokers of the world rise up to hold their summit, scheming and conferring together against God and His Anointed King, saying: “Let’s come together and break away from the Creator. Once and for all let’s cast off these controlling chains of God and His Christ!”

God-Enthroned merely laughs at them, amused at all their puny plans, mocking their madness!

Laugh at your enemies and adverse circumstances! 😊
