God’s Perspective
The Lord gave me a revelation several years ago while planning the move from Joburg to Wilderness. From the time we made the decision to the actual move date was three weeks. In that time I had to arrange the packing of the house, putting plans in place and appointing a new manager in the business, and a host of other things that required attention. It was stressful and exhilarating all at the same time.
While sitting and reflecting on the events of the final week I looked at my dogs (image above) and thought about how dramatically the lives of my pets were going to change. They knew something was happening but had no idea their lives were about to change forever.
But I could see the whole picture. I knew what was going to happen on the upcoming Monday. I knew where the cats and the dogs were going. I knew it would stress them and they were not going to be happy. But I also knew that I will continue to love them and take care of them and that over a period of time they would settle down and life will be fun again. (They settled within two days!)
Suddenly I heard the words, “This is called the God perspective.”
Life is often like that. You know there is change underfoot but m ay not know what or where life is taking you. But God knows what is going to take place in the days ahead where your life is concerned. He can see the changes that will come and challenge you and change you. He knows what will please you and what won’t. He knows what the changes will be but He also knows that He will never stop loving you and will continue to support you. Then, over the course of time all will settle down and be well again.
I don’t know what tomorrow holds for you. I don’t know if it is going to be a whirlwind of glory or a raging stormy sea, but whichever it is know this, He is present in both. The whirlwind of His glory will lift you up, sweep you off your feet, and His presence will be intoxicating. The raging stormy sea may be frightening but that’s where He comes alongside you and teaches you how to rule over the storm.
The Lord has you in the palm of His hand and will never let you go so stop worrying and stressing because you are heading for a glorious and wonderful end. He is the Author and the Finisher of your faith so relax and trust Him, He will not let you down.
If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God! (James 1:12 TPT)
