The God Perspective
The house is half-empty, boxes stacked in corners, tape rolls scattered across the floor. My dog watches every movement with alert eyes. The cats drift between boxes like silent inspectors. They know something is happening but have no idea what it is.
I can see the whole picture. I know what will happen on Monday. I know where the cats will go and where the dogs will stay. I know the change will unsettle them, the drive will be long, and they will protest with every bark and meow.
But I also know I will keep them safe. I will feed them, comfort them, and make sure they have what they need. In time, they will settle, tails will wag again, and the new house will become home.
This is what I call the God perspective.
Seeing What We Cannot
God sees what we cannot. He knows what waits in the days ahead. He understands the challenges that will press against your peace and the joys that will lift your spirit. He knows which seasons will delight you and which ones will stretch you. Yet through them all, He holds you steady.
You may not understand what He is doing, but He does. He knows where you are going, why you must go, and how it will all fit together. Just as I know the destination for my pets, He knows yours.
Scripture reminds us that He “declares the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done” (Isaiah 46:10). He is not reacting to your story; He is writing it with intention and care.
He is not only watching the next step; He is shaping the entire journey.
Trusting What We Do Not Yet Understand

There is always a space between what we know and what we trust. It is the waiting room of faith, where questions echo louder than answers. When I look at my pets pacing among boxes, I see the way we pace in prayer. We sense change coming but cannot make sense of it. We ask, “Why now? Why this?” The boxes are labelled in heaven’s handwriting, but we’re not allowed to read the script yet.
Faith lives in that tension. It is the steady voice that says, “Even if I do not understand, I will still follow.”
Habakkuk 2:3 whispers, “Though it linger, wait for it; it will surely come.” God’s timing may feel delayed, but His arrival never is. Every promise finds its appointed moment, and when it comes, you will see He was already preparing the way.
Sometimes, trust looks like carrying the box without knowing what’s inside.
Sometimes life feels like a relocation of the soul. Everything familiar is boxed up and labelled, and you are asked to trust the One carrying it all.
I do not know what tomorrow holds for you. I do not know if it will be a whirlwind of glory or a raging stormy sea. But I know this: He is present in both.
When the whirlwind belongs to Him, it lifts you high, sweeps you forward, and the air feels alive with His presence. When the storm comes from the world around you, He stands beside you, teaching you how to speak peace over the waves.
As James 1:12 reminds us, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” The shaking is never wasted. The test becomes a blessing in His hands.
The Lord has you in the palm of His hand. He does not let go. He will not drop what He carries.
So breathe. Stop rehearsing every worry. The plan may feel hidden, but His care is constant. Every step, every season, every unknown path is known to Him.
You are heading toward a glorious end. The Author who began your story will finish it with the same tenderness He used to write its first line.
Even when you feel weary, His Word calls you to “strengthen the hands which hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet” (Hebrews 12:12–13). He does not expect you to carry your faith alone. He strengthens you so you can keep walking forward with Him.
The God perspective Rearranges the Furniture of Our Lives

Every so often, God walks through the rooms of our lives and begins to move things. He shifts priorities, repositions relationships, and makes space for what is new. We resist at first because we have grown comfortable with how everything was.
But He sees what no longer fits. He knows when one chapter is closing, and another is ready to begin. It feels unsettling when He lifts something you loved and places it elsewhere. Yet the rearranging is never random.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us there is “a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Sometimes He clears a corner because He plans to fill it with light. Sometimes He moves what you were building because the foundation beneath it needs to be strengthened. What feels like loss is often preparation.
Let Him rearrange the furniture. The room may look unfamiliar now, but soon you will see how perfectly it fits His design.
God’s perspective is wider than our worry. What looks like chaos to us is already ordered in His sight. The packing, the shifting, the discomfort, it is all part of His gentle rearranging.
One day you will look back, settled in the new season, and realize He never left your side. The journey was not random. The change was not cruel. It was love, carefully leading you from what you knew to what you needed.
Before you go, take a moment to breathe. Change is never wasted when it leads you closer to the Lord.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I trust God when I cannot see what He is doing?
Trust begins when you choose to believe His plans even when you cannot trace His hand. Faith is not blind; it simply sees further. God lives in the days you have not yet reached and prepares what you will need when you arrive.
When you cannot see ahead, rest in the One who can. Spend time in prayer and remind yourself of His promises. Read Proverbs 3:5–6 and Psalm 46:10 until peace begins to rise inside you.
Trust is not the absence of fear but the decision to keep walking even when you do not understand. God is never uncertain about your future. He is already working within it, shaping every detail with love.
What does it mean to rest in God’s hands?
Resting in His hands means releasing control and choosing to believe you are safe. It is not about doing nothing; it is about trusting completely. You may still feel pressure or pain, but you are no longer trying to carry it alone.
The One who holds galaxies also holds you. When anxiety presses close, read Isaiah 41:10 and whisper its truth until your breathing slows: “Fear not, for I am with you.”
His grip does not loosen when life becomes heavy. He steadies you when your knees tremble and strengthens your heart when words fail. Close your eyes, picture His hand beneath your life, and let that image quiet your thoughts. Rest grows in the awareness you are held.
Why does God allow seasons of change or upheaval?
Change is never wasted; it is God’s way of reshaping what no longer serves your future. Seasons of movement teach you to hold lightly to what fades and cling tightly to what lasts. The shaking is not punishment but preparation.
God sometimes unsettles us to make room for new growth. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us there is “a time for every purpose under heaven.” What feels like loss may be the soil where something new will bloom.
Romans 8:28 promises that all things work together for good for those who love Him. Even when you cannot see the pattern, He is weaving purpose into the change. Let each season train your heart to trust Him more deeply.
When we see only fragments, God sees the finish. Every turn, delay, and disruption fits inside His greater design. Nothing in your story is wasted, not even the waiting. If you listen closely, you will notice His fingerprints in the details, the small mercies, the quiet reassurances, the strength which meets you each morning. Keep trusting the unseen hand guiding your path. One day the picture will come into full view, and you will see what He saw all along: love, leading you home.
Let each season teach trust, patience, and hope.
